WSDOT is putting photos up at Flickr of the bridge construction at Hood Canal, and maintaining a daily construction update blog. There also is a very nice webpage, No Bridge No Problem, which explains clearly all the alternative travel options.
Closer to home, Clallam County's photographs of the Elwha River Bridge construction make it look like it's making good progress...
